Just floating through life without direction
Living on other people’s dreams
Like looking at water without reflection
It’s life without a soul, it seems
You gotta believe in something
You can’t go around with your head in the sand
You just can’t believe in nothing
Your life ain’t worth it until you understand
That you gotta believe in something
Whether it’s fiction or whether it’s truth
‘Cuz you’ll never make it in a vacuum
You end up nowhere without your youth
I wouldn’t care if you believed like me
‘Cuz I could never make up your mind
Riding fences shows you’re scared to be free.
It’s easier to be deaf and blind
You gotta believe in something
You can’t go around with your head in the sand

You either believe in God or you don’t
There’s no such thing as “don’t know”
You’ll thank Him for saving
Or, then again, you won’t
But at least you’ll have a place to go
